ForA - Art meets Sustainability in Totnes May 8th - 12th

There will be a series of forums (or fora) and events throughout the week of May 8th - 12th, bringing sustainability to the heart of Totnes. They follow on from the launch of the important report on the potential for renewable energy at Dartington on Monday
May 8th and are supported by the Totnes & District Sustainability Group and South Hams Friends of the Earth.

Throughout the rest of the week ForA features contemporary artists around the town centre, presenting work that illustrates the issues and questions around sustainability. Venues include

• Tuesday 9th - Kingsbridge pub with Vatican X-Ray Dept.

• Wednesday 10th in the High Street - local artist Nomi interviews passersby about sustainability issues.

• Thursday 11th and Friday 12th - Bogan House, installations by local artists Nicholas Grew and Nomi.

• Friday 12th – By Somerfield, Fore Street, installations by local artist Janey Hunt and visiting artist Alexis Blake.

What do Totnes and Sustainability mean to each other?

The artists reflect on this in their work and the public can record their own or hear one another’s views.

All the gathered responses will be made available to the Totnes Sustainability Group to better inform their future plans.
