Come along to a training day on how to involve community groups in "The Big Ask"

Part of the suite of the new Big Ask materials is an Action Guide on ‘Engaging Community Groups’:

community.foe.co.uk.

To help you to do this, we have put together a workshop for you to use.

If you are interested in finding out more we are organising two training days - to talk you through the workshop and any other queries you may have about how to engage community groups.

Birmingham 10 March, 10:30-5.00pm (Carrs Lane Church)

London 31 March, 10:30-5.00pm, (Friends of the Earth London office)

Come along to share ideas and build skills in facilitating workshops on the Big Ask with community groups. We'll also be looking at deciding which community groups to approach, and how to engage their interest. If you are interested in attending either event, please contact Jenny Thatcher jenny.thatcher@foe.co.uk 0121 643 8117 (please also contact Jenny if you are interested in holding a workshop with a local community group but can’t attend the event)

The aims of the training day are that you:

- will be familiar with the context and content of the modular workshop and facilitator’s resource pack that we have put together

- feel equipped both emotionally and practically to deliver the workshop.

- have an ‘action plan’ for which groups you’ll approach with the workshop offer and how you can make the approach.

- feel supported and networked with others doing the same work, and with FOE staff who can help when needed.

Best wishes

Alex
